Construction management training is available through certificate programs as well as undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Two notable construction management schools in the United States are Clemson University in South Carolina and University of Washington – Seattle. Both schools offer bachelor’s degree programs that are accredited by the American Council for Construction Education.
1. Clemson University in South Carolina

Clemson’s College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities contains a department specifically devoted to construction science and management. Individuals can earn a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or graduate certificate in construction science and management. The master’s degree program has received recognition and promotion from both the National Center for Construction Education and Research and the Associated General Contractors of America.
2. University of Washington – Seattle
School Highlight: The Pacific Northwest Center for Construction Research and Education (PNCCRE) affiliated with the school offers labs and classrooms for research projects, student and industry use.
One of the top public research institutions in the United States, University of Washington – Seattle was ranked as 2015’s 48th-best national university by U.S. News World Report. The university boasts three campuses and 17 professional schools and colleges, one of which is the College of Built Environments.
Through this college, which houses the Construction Management Department, interested individuals can pursue a construction management graduate certificate, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree. The school also offers a combined Bachelor of Science in Construction Management/Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies. Also offered is a PhD in the Built Environment. The department maintains an active relationship with the local industry through its Construction Industry Advisory Council, which helps place students in internships.
